Did you know that electric element type hot water systems can be responsible for around 2 tonnes of greenhouse gases a year?! To become more energy efficient:

 

• Install a solar hot water system

• Install AAA rated shower heads to lower the amount of water you use, and the hot water that needs heating.

• Lower the thermostat on your hot water system to around 50 degrees to optimise efficiency.

• Spend less time in the shower.

• Use cold water to wash your clothes.

• Insulate the hot water pipes throughout your home.
